Before the shoot, Adélie worked online with Nina and Tibor to refine her ballet positions, expression and presence. In the Frankfurt studio, that preparation met an atmosphere where she felt understood and supported as a young artist. The experience helped her grow in confidence — both in front of the camera and in herself.
Her family also booked a separate Fine Art shoot to celebrate her personality and creativity. They left with photographs to treasure and a daughter full of inspiration and renewed motivation. They loved the experience so much that they booked again — and found their second visit just as special.
An intensive, a masterclass, pre-vocational or vocational ballet training: suddenly there are requirements to compare, photos and films to organise and deadlines to meet — on top of school, ballet classes and family life.
Photo positions, video content, formats and deadlines vary. Even the same exercise may need a different camera angle for another academy. A short clip here; a 15-minute film of barre, centre, allegro and solos there — with details scattered across websites and forms.
Depending on the application, there may be a variation, a contemporary solo cut to length or combinations in a set order — each needing focused preparation alongside school and regular ballet classes.
A panel’s first impression may be a photograph or a few minutes on screen. Poor image quality or the wrong moment, angle or framing can hide the technique and expression your child already has.
Photos and film may only open the door. A live audition or trial week means an unfamiliar studio, new combinations to learn on the spot and a watching panel. Under that pressure, even familiar steps can suddenly feel different.

Tibor-Florestan Pluto · Founder & ballet photographer
An award-winning photographer with a mind for the whole journey. Tibor brings photography, coaching and preparation together, so your child can focus on dancing — and you have someone by your side.
For 15 years, Tibor has photographed the world of leading orchestras and opera houses — including performances by Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Antonio Pappano and Lang Lang.
Throughout those years, his main career was in software architecture and product ownership at major companies. He learned to see how complex pieces fit together, bring the right specialists around a goal and turn ambitious ideas into a clear plan.
VERASCENA brings those two worlds together: an eye trained on exceptional performers, and the care and structure that help a family move forward. Tibor brings the coaches, preparation and photography together, with space for a dancer to grow in confidence as well as technique.
Beyond the studio, Tibor contributes his digital expertise to Ballettfreunde Frankfurt, a local association helping young ballet talent access opportunities.

Vaganova graduate and former soloist — dancers she has coached have been accepted at renowned academies.
She coaches in German, Russian or English.
Nina trained at the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg from 1988 to 1996. After graduating she danced with the Eifman Ballet, then from 1997 with the Kremlin Ballet — in the corps de ballet and in solo roles of the classical repertoire. In 2001 she became a soloist at the Rostov State Opera; from 2002 she danced with the Stanislavsky Ballet in Moscow, touring Europe, the USA and Asia. Alongside the stage she qualified as a ballet teacher and choreographer in 2006. She teaches classical ballet at Dr. Hoch's Konservatorium in Frankfurt, and she is the founder and director of the Frankfurt Ballet Masterclasses and of the Frankfurt International Ballet Competition (FIBC).
On professional stages since 2011 — now leading a dance company's daily training.
She coaches in English, Italian or German.
Greta danced as a soloist with Balletto di Milano and Staatstheater Cottbus, then spent eight seasons with the Hessisches Staatsballett, performing works by Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Damien Jalet and Edward Clug. As guest rehearsal director at Theater Heidelberg, she leads the company's daily ballet and contemporary training. She teaches contemporary intensives and workshops — and prepares young dancers for academy auditions. Her coaching pairs structured technique with guided improvisation, adapted to the dancer in front of her.
A professional dancer and, for nearly a decade, a teacher across Europe — the audition itself is his subject.
He coaches in English or Italian.
Classically trained, he teaches contemporary and coaches pre-professionals and professionals through auditions, competitions and career steps — in workshops, intensives and one-to-one coaching. An award-winning choreographer, he creates a piece for a single dancer where an application calls for something that does not yet exist — work that belongs to our Élève programme. His conviction: no dancer should be pressed into the same mould. He helps each one find their own strengths — and show them clearly when it counts.
Every coaching session is one-to-one. Which coach works with your child depends on the target academies and what each application requires — we bring in the right specialist once that path is clear.
VERASCENA is for serious dancers from around 11 upwards who are preparing for an academy, intensive, masterclass or university application — and for the parents guiding them. If you have a particular opportunity and its official requirements, we look at them together and tell you plainly which programme fits, or whether you do not need us. Dancers auditioning for a company are welcome to bring that to the introductory call — we arrange that work individually.
